Salary Range: Band 5 (£20,710 - £26,839 pro-rata)

We are looking for a well motivated Dental Technician to become part of the team within the Specialist Surgery Laboratory.

Applicants will need to have gained a Diploma/BSc in Dental Technology or Equivalent (as recognised by the General Dental Council).  You will need to have current registration With the General Dental Council  (PCD Dental Technician Register).  Experience of working in an Orthodontics laboratory, or in an NHS environment, would be advantageous although not essential.

This is a busy department which also provides a service to ENT, Ophthalmology and theatres, in addition to the clinical sessions of Orthodontics and Maxillofacial.

More information is given in the job description but main duties include supporting the specialist Technologists and clinics, maintaining the laboratory records system, preparing notes and documents related to patient treatment, Model production, bite raisers, articulation, repairs/relines, immediate retainers and maintaining a clean working environment etc
This is a post for someone who wishes to have a career as a Dental Technician and is not a training post in relation to Maxillofacial or Orthodontics Technology.
