Dental Technician Part-time 28 hours & 5 minutes per week
Band 5 - £19,683 - £25,424 pro rata

We are looking for a well motivated Dental Technician to become part of a newly formed team within the Laboratory. Applicants will need to have gained a BSc in Dental Technology or Equivalent.(as recognised by the General Dental Council). You will need to have registered or be in the process of doing so before the 2008 deadline with the General Dental Council. (PCD Register). This is a busy department, which provides a service to ENT, Ophthalmology and theatres, in addition to the clinical sessions of Orthodontics and Maxillofacial. Experience of working in an Orthodontics laboratory, or in an NHS environment, would be advantageous although not essential.

Main duties of the post include supporting the specialist Technologists and clinics, maintaining the laboratory records system, Model production, bite raisers, articulation, repairs/relines, immediate retainers etc This is a post for someone who wishes to have a career as a Dental Technician and is not a training post in relation to Maxillofacial or Orthodontics Technology.
