Our new lecture venue in Billingham, Cleveland was packed to capacity on 3rd February 2010 for Steve's Smile Design Lecture
The presentation began with a look at the vocabulary used within smile design. It is imperative all concerned are using a common language; whether the communication is between technicians within the same laboratory or from technician to clinician. It went on to cover the 19 anatomical features of an anterior tooth, and how they inter relate. How the appearance of an individual tooth may be changed by accurate control of the features. The final portion of the presentation looked at 10 components of a natural smile and gave examples of various types of smiles. The arrangement of individual teeth were discussed to show the vital role of reflectivity.
